Chef Mike Van de Elzen, owner of Molten in Auckland, has organised a fundraising luncheon called '5 chefs for Canterbury'. "I know there will be lot of events going on for Christchurch but this lunch is really going to be a one off," says Van de Elzen. He explains: "We have Des from Clooney, Mike from Merediths, Steve from O'Connell Street Bistro and Sid from Sidart and myself for '5 Chefs for Canterbury', which is a lunch to be held at Villa Maria wine estate's barrel room. It involves cocktails and nibbles on arrival, then five awesome courses matched to Villa Maria's great wines and finishing with great cheeses and stickys. On top of this we have John Hawkesby as MC, a great DJ, solo singer and the most amazing packages to auction. I hope to raise $100,000, so let's get behind it!"
